GENERAL CONDITIONS.
Purpose
The purpose of these general terms and conditions of sale (GTCS) is to define the terms and conditions applicable to any reservation made at Hôtel Le Strato, a 5-star establishment located in Courchevel.
General information
Public rates are displayed in euros and include VAT, but do not include the applicable tourist tax, which is €3.85 per adult per night.Credit card payments for additional services booked through the hotel (such as ski passes, taxi bookings, etc.) are subject to a 3% surcharge. This surcharge does not apply to payments for accommodation.Indoor parking is available for €35 per day.
Booking conditions
Please note that no booking option will be held without written confirmation and timely payment.All requests are subject to availability and may change at any time.The offer sent is valid for a limited time only, according to the precise criteria defined, including room category, number of rooms, number of people, specific dates of stay, as well as the designated contact person.The booking option is also strictly limited in time, as indicated in the initial correspondence.Any receipt of payment beyond the period of validity of the option will result in a refusal of the booking and a full refund of the funds to the issuer of the payment, without any further commitment on the part of the hotel.
All bookings must be confirmed by the payment of a non-refundable deposit equivalent to 50% of the total cost of the stay. The balance must be paid no later than 30 days before the date of arrival. Payments can be made by bank transfer (details available on request) or via a secure link for credit card payments.
Two official reminders will be issued by the establishment in the event of an unpaid balance. If payment is not received within the stipulated period, the booking will be automatically cancelled without notice. The deposit will be retained as a cancellation fee, and the accommodation initially blocked will be immediately released for sale, without the customer or their representative being able to claim any reimbursement or compensation whatsoever.Bookings are firm, final and cannot be changed. No request to change dates will be considered, except in the event of proven force majeure, due to external, unforeseeable and irresistible circumstances. In such a case, a reasoned request must be sent in writing exclusively to the following address: reservation@hotelstrato.com.
No requests for changes will be considered if payments have not been made in full by the deadline, or if reminders have been necessary. If a change of dates is approved by the Management, the hotel reserves the right to immediately put the original dates back on sale, without compensation or consideration for the client or the intermediary. Acceptance of the new dates by the client will constitute a definitive commitment.
In the event of an impediment due to health reasons or a serious family event, Hôtel Le Strato may, on a purely complimentary basis and without recognition of liability, issue a certificate of cancellation and loss of deposit to the customer's insurance company. However, it is the responsibility of each customer to take out, prior to arrival, appropriate insurance covering the risks associated with high-level hotel stays, in particular cancellation costs. This certificate will only be issued if no other claim, procedure or dispute is envisaged by the customer. Once issued, it closes the file definitively, with no possibility of reopening it or appealing at a later date.
Customer arrival
Handover of keys & identification of occupants
Access keys will only be given to the persons duly mentioned on the confirmed reservation.
in order to guarantee a smooth reception that complies with the hotel's security and confidentiality standards, we strongly recommend that you send us your complete rooming list before your arrival.
The hotel reserves the right to refuse to hand over the keys to any person whose name has not been communicated in writing by the booker prior to arrival.
no verbal authorisation, including by telephone, will be accepted; the list of authorised occupants can only be changed with written confirmation from the main booker.
Occupancy of accommodation
Each room, suite or flat is designed to accommodate a maximum number of people as defined at the time of booking.
if, on arrival, the number of occupants exceeds that confirmed at the time of booking, the establishment reserves the right to:
(i) refuse access to additional guests,
(ii) require the reservation of an additional room or accommodation at the current public rate, or, in the event of unavailability,
(iii) apply a supplement equivalent to the cost of an additional room.
It is the customer's responsibility to check, before any payment, the maximum capacity of the accommodation booked and to ensure that the booking corresponds to the actual number of occupants.
Security deposit
A physical credit card in the name of one of the occupants must be presented at check-in.
no bank authorisation will be charged, but the card details will be recorded as a guarantee.
in the absence of a valid card, the keys cannot be handed over, and a cash deposit may be agreed in exceptional circumstances.
The amount of this deposit is €1,000 per night for rooms and suites, and €2,000 per night for flats and the Chalet Timeless.
this deposit gives access to all hotel services: spa, ski-room, room service, restaurant, laundry, etc., which can be charged to the room.
Catering
The "breakfast" option included in the room, suite and Chalet Timeless rates gives access to the breakfast buffet served in the Hôtel Le Strato restaurants, located on level 0, between 7.30am and 10.30am.
The "half-board" option also includes this breakfast buffet and a daily credit to be used in our restaurant [S] Corne. This credit is valid for a meal including a starter, main course and dessert, excluding drinks, cafeteria and supplements. This credit is personal and non-transferable, and cannot be carried over to another day. It can be used for lunch, dinner or room service (at no extra charge) and does not require prior reservation.
For the flats, a continental breakfast basket is delivered each morning, included in the price of the stay, which includes pastries, bread, yoghurts, jams, cereals, etc. A specific breakfast card is also available in each flat, offering a complementary selection of products, subject to a price indicated on site. Nespresso coffee capsules are available, and for any request exceeding the standard pods, a paying hot drinks card is available.
We will not offer alcoholic beverages to any customer who is not permitted to consume them under local laws and regulations. We have the right not to offer alcoholic beverages to any customer who is intoxicated and may refuse to give the car key to any customer who is behaving in an intoxicated manner. We suggest that the customer keeps their valet ticket or other valid identification and returns the next day to collect the car.
Depending on the customer's order, we prepare dishes that may be served raw or undercooked and contain allergens such as peanuts, nuts, soya, milk, eggs, wheat, etc. Customers are advised to inform our staff of any food allergies they may have and the list of foods or materials to be avoided before confirming an order.
To ensure your safety and comfort, any food or olfactory allergy or intolerance (particularly to perfumes or ambient products) must be notified to the reservations team before your arrival and to the staff on site. It is also important to specify the degree of severity of any food allergies in order to avoid any cross-contamination, particularly in shared areas such as the breakfast buffet, where the presence of traces of allergens (peanuts, nuts, soya, milk, eggs, wheat, etc.) cannot be completely ruled out despite our precautions.
We will do our best to adapt certain services, such as breakfast, half-board, hospitality products and room service trays, according to the information provided. If all the occupants of the room have an allergy, this must also be specified. For allergies to fragrances, we can adjust hospitality products or avoid room sprays if the request is made in advance.
Please note that additional non-contractual services, such as pancakes in the ski room or snacks in the gym, cannot always be adapted to allergies, and their unavailability for health reasons will not give rise to any refund or price adjustment.
Finally, without restricting or affecting your statutory rights, you agree to waive, release and discharge the civil or criminal liability of the Hotel or its staff for any loss, damage or any type of physical discomfort or injury that may arise directly or indirectly as a result of the consumption of food prepared or purchased by you outside the Hotel, or food provided in the Hotel, but which has exceeded its time limit for consumption at the time of eating or drinking.
Well-being and relaxation
The Hôtel Le Strato invites you to take advantage of its wellness area, including a luxury spa, sauna, hammam and heated indoor swimming pool, for a moment of relaxation after a day on the slopes. We also offer a range of treatments and massages to meet your relaxation needs.
When using any of the services and/or facilities of the Espaces Bien-Etre, guests are solely responsible for their physical condition and state of health. They must ensure that they fully understand the operation of the equipment in the Espaces Bien-Etre and, in the event of discomfort, immediately stop all physical activity and inform our staff.
The Hotel cannot be held responsible for the breakage, loss or theft of any object left in the Espaces Bien-Etre or entrusted to our staff. By using the facilities and/or services of the Espaces Bien-Etre, you agree to release the Hotel and its employees from any liability for loss or damage to property as well as for any physical injury that may result, directly or indirectly, from the use of the Espaces Bien-Etre, within the limits of the legal provisions of public order and without affecting your statutory rights.
Our hairdressing salon, by appointment only, is run by a professional hairdresser available for cuts, styles and hair treatments.
A 48-hour notice is required for any cancellation of an appointment, whether for a spa treatment, massage or hairdressing service. After this time, the service will be charged in full to your room, and the amount will be due at checkout as a no-show fee. You will receive confirmation by email or WhatsApp from the spa, concierge or hair salon for any bookings made.
Pets
Pets are welcome at Hotel Le Strato, subject to certain conditions :

A supplement of €50 per night per pet applies.

Pets must be kept on a lead at all times in communal areas.

It is forbidden for pets to enter the restaurant or relaxation areas (Baumanière 1850 restaurant, bar, spa, etc.).

For everyone's comfort, we ask you to respect the rules of good behaviour and to keep your pet calm and under control.
Please inform us of the presence of your pet when you make your reservation, so that we can prepare your arrival as well as possible.
Room service
Cleaning service is provided daily between 9.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m. If you have a time preference, please inform reception in advance. No service will be provided if the "Do not disturb" sign is displayed on the door, and this also applies to technical interventions. Cleaning is carried out once a day; a restocking of toiletries or cafeteria products may be requested, subject to reasonable consumption. In the event of excessive use, additional charges may apply.
Blanket service is provided every evening between 6.30 p.m. and 9.00 p.m. This involves preparing the room for the night, including small touches and light tidying, but does not constitute a second cleaning. No service will be provided beyond this time, with the exception of occasional restocking.
We would like to inform you that no service will be carried out in the room when an animal is alone.
We will be happy to take your preferences into account (time of service, choice of pillows, allergies to perfumes, etc.), within the limits of our possibilities and without guarantee.In order to respect the environment, we encourage you to participate in our ecological initiatives by limiting the number of services requested (for example, changes of towels or sheets). If you do not wish us to change your sheets or towels on a daily basis, please inform us when you arrive or directly at reception. This will help to reduce the ecological impact of your stay.
Safes
Individual safes are available in each room for storing personal belongings.
the hotel declines all responsibility in the event of loss, theft or damage to valuables not deposited in the safe.
it may only be held liable in the event of proven fault on the part of the establishment.
Concierge and associated services
Hotel Le Strato's concierge service is at your disposal to assist you in booking restaurants and activities. If you choose to make a reservation via our concierge by providing your bank details, we inform you that, in the event of a no-show or late cancellation, the policies of the establishment concerned will apply. The customer may therefore be billed according to the terms of these policies, and our concierge service cannot be held responsible for this situation.
Image and media rights
It is expressly forbidden to film or photograph other customers present in the establishment without their prior consent. In accordance with the laws relating to the protection of image and private life, Hôtel Le Strato cannot be held responsible in the event of any claim or legal proceedings relating to the public dissemination of visual content in which other people appear without their permission.
Each customer undertakes to respect the image rights of others and to obtain the necessary consents before broadcasting any audiovisual content involving third parties. Hôtel Le Strato declines all responsibility in the event of a dispute resulting from the use of such images or videos without consent.
Any photograph, film or any use or reference to any of our establishments (including any part of them) or to any brand, including in particular the name or logo of the Hotel, for commercial, promotional or advertising purposes, is strictly subject to prior examination and approval by us. Please contact us for any request relating to such uses.
CSR Commitment - Corporate Social Responsibility
Hotel Le Strato is actively committed to reducing its environmental impact and promoting sustainable practices in its day-to-day operations. To this end, we have implemented a number of eco-responsible initiatives. Each room is equipped with waste separation bins to facilitate waste management. We also encourage our guests to participate in our sustainability efforts, notably by opting not to change towels on a daily basis. Indeed, towels are changed only on request, thus reducing water and energy consumption. Furthermore, we strive to favour local and responsible products for our meals, while optimising resource management in our wellness areas and facilities. These actions are part of our desire to minimise our ecological footprint while offering our guests a luxurious and environmentally-friendly experience.
legislation and Protection of Personal Data
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws and regulations applicable to the location of the Hotel in Courchevel. In the event of any conflict between the French version of these Terms and Conditions and any translations thereof, the French version shall prevail. Any matters not covered in these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the Hotel's specific Terms and Conditions and by the laws, regulations and/or customs in force in France in 2025
In accordance with the European regulation on the protection of personal data (RGPD), Hotel Le Strato is committed to protecting and respecting the confidentiality of your personal data. The information you provide when making your reservation or during your stay is used exclusively to manage your reservation, process your requests and improve our services. We only collect the data necessary for these purposes and we keep it for the duration of your stay, as well as in accordance with legal obligations. You have the right to access, rectify, delete or request the portability of your data, as well as to oppose its processing, by contacting us directly at the following address: mp@hotelstrato.com. Under no circumstances will your data be shared with third parties for commercial purposes without your explicit consent.
